Having a classic international payment card puts you into the category of financially stable and reliable customers and business partners. Credit cards are especially convenient in travels. Carrying your bank card is safer than carrying cash, and you don’t need to exchange one currency for another. Whenever the transaction involves currency other than the card account currency, the funds are converted to the required currency automatically according to a single exchange rate, as established by the payment system on the day of the transaction day.
As a cardholder, you can:
- purchase goods and services at participating merchant locations around the world without being charged extra fees and commissions;
- make cash withdrawals from ATMs and to obtain cash advances at any banks wherever you see card symbol displayed – anywhere in the world; however, you must stay within your credit limit pre-determined by the bank;
- use your card:
- to make hotel reservations
- to hire a car
- for your purchasing and payment needs in virtual world (on the Internet)
- to buy plane tickets, to pay for travels etc.
- obtain a supplementary card to be linked to your card account and to conduct card transactions within the credit limit permitted by the bank;
- have direct access to your card account status during regular operating hours and to get in touch with the bank’s officers to request advice concerning a proper use and administration of your card.
SMS Facility
Through this service, you will be able to obtain card transaction reports. The Bank will send the following card related information to your mobile phone: date and venue of the authorized card transaction, transaction amount and currency, authorization outcome, either a successful or failed (the reason for a failed authorization), card account balance after the transaction.
3D Secure Code
To provide extra safety for online shopping, Baltic International Bank offers you the 3D Secure service developed by MasterCard, a leading global payment solutions company. The 3D Secure functioning principle is quite simple: your personal assurance message or personal greeting created by you during the registration (activation) process will be displayed back to you when you are prompted for your SecureCode while shopping online (i.e. a secure window from your financial institution will appear, requesting your SecureCode; you enter your personal SecureCode to confirm your identity). This is done as a security precaution to be sure that the person registering is the real cardholder.
