The eternal values are those things that provide guidance and give spiritual vigour to many generations. Being a true connoisseur of classic values, Baltic International Bank financially supported a grand celebratory performance in honour the 90th Anniversary of the Latvian National Opera House (LNO).
We are proud to have sponsored the gala concert performed on 22 December 2009. The gala featured ballet of vocal soloists, orchestra, choir and special guests – worldwide-renowned composers and performers from Latvia. The Anniversary Celebration Concert was televised live by LTV I, with the financial support provided by Baltic International Bank.
“Our Opera has attached a special value to the art that has soaked into the public consciousness as a bright image of the country’s culture. Over the past many decades, the Opera has boosted Latvia’s image and name awareness worldwide, both in the West and East”,Ilona Gulchak, the Chairperson of the Board of Baltic International Bank, said during a press conference.
Ordered by Baltic International Bank, the silver bowl has become a
valuable contribution to Latvia’s art scene and the premise for the
realisation of the shareholder’s Valeri Belokon idea to create a unique
collection of art masterpieces which could have a special place in the
country’s culture and heritage.
The silver bowl “The 21st Century Renaissance” is 120 cm high, 75 cm long and 65 cm wide, weighs 35.37 kg, 925-finenes. On the backside, there is a gilded engraving that refers to ancient China where world’s earliest money originated, to the 21st century Riga. The bowl was created by Oleg Auzer, a very talented and renowned jeweller from Latvia.
The masterpiece has enriched the bank’s art collection. For the first time, it was exhibited for visitors as part of the 2010 Museum Night Event in Riga. Now, the artwork is available for viewing in the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation, the Silver Room.
The bowl symbolises prosperity, good luck, and life. By supporting the creation of unique artworks, Baltic International Bank wishes to excel the values such as stability and professionalism.
