Bond Market Highlights: Ukraine’s New Bond Demand Outstrips Supply

Ukraine’s government successfully launched two tranches of Eurobonds. The placement included 5-year maturity bonds (the volume amounted to US$ 500 million) and 10-year maturity bonds (the volume amounted to US$ 1,5 billion).

Ukraine's Eurobonds placement generated huge investor interest and was 3 times oversubscribed. Fitch rated the bond issue ‘B’. The current yields are as follows: Ukraine'12 – 5.4 percent, Ukraine'13 – 5.8 percent, Ukraine'15 – 6.8 percent (a new tranche of bonds), Ukraine'16 – 6.95 percent, Ukraine'17 – 7.05 percent, Ukraine'20 – 7.7 percent (a new tranche of bonds).
