Baltic International Bank unveils new mobile application to enable customers to manage their financial instruments more conveniently

News - December 9, 2014

„Baltic International Bank specializes in providing private banking services to affluent customers, satisfying their personal and business interests and managing wealth. Though we’re living in the technological era, our work specificity implies a close banker-customer interaction. In response to the rapid expansion of smart-phones and greater customer mobility, we’ve designed a mobile application for BIB Internet Banking,” the Chairperson of the Board Ilona Gulchak says.

The new app will enable our customer’s to check their account status, loans, deposits, payment card balances more conveniently, as well as to obtain information about the financial instruments they have purchased. In the beginning of December, Baltic International Bank has announced the launch of the new app available for free on Apple and Android.

„The reduction of deposit interest rates has spurred our customers to invest in alternative investment vehicles such as stocks and bonds more frequently,” I. Gulchak explains. Emphasis was therefore primarily placed on market monitoring activities (to monitor stock market, bond market, securities market and forex market) and monitoring of customer’s asset structure, which allows the customer track the status of the asset portfolio in an online manner.

Quite often Bank’s customers own several enterprises. That’s why one major feature offered by the service is that during same-time access customer is able to view both personal and corporate accounts. Access to the app is protected by an enhanced security system and virtual code calculator which is available within the app for the users of the mobile app and the Internet Banking.

„Our customers highly appreciate Bank-offered tech solutions. Nearly 90% of Bank’s customers are currently using BIB Internet Banking,” I. Gulchak emphasises.  To offer its customers more convenience, Bank launched Mobiles DigiPass (a mobile code card) in 2012. Already half of the Internet Banking users are currently using the mobile code card.

In the Latvian banking sector, Baltic International Bank is one of the most experienced providers of private banking services to high net worth individuals and businesses.  The advantages we offer include a bespoke approach, solid partnership and top-level service intended to preserve and grow wealth for our customers.
